The Manifold can extract ore, gas, and ice simultaneously from overlapping dimensional layers — a capability unique to this vessel. The Collective claims the Manifold "accelerates resource regeneration" in depleted fields by pulling matter through dimensional rifts. Other empires' physicists consider this claim impossible. The resources appear anyway.
