Lore
Rim ice fields are small and scattered, which taught Frontier engineers to extract maximum value from minimum resource. The Brain Freeze gets its name from the cockpit temperature when the saws run at full power — Rim engineers solved this by duct-taping a portable heater to the pilot's armrest. The extraction system squeezes more usable ice per pass than anything else in its class, and the compression-rated hold stretches further than a hull this cheap has any right to. It's fragile, it's slow by Rim standards, and the warranty is a handshake. It also produces better margins per trip than ships costing twice as much.
