The Event Horizon earns its name. Its shield array creates a zone of absolute energy absorption around the hull — weapons fire enters but does not exit as reflected energy. Other empires' tactical analysts describe engaging an Event Horizon as "firing into a black hole." The weapon complement is secondary by design: the Event Horizon does not need to destroy its targets quickly. It needs to outlast them. Five defense slots support the most comprehensive shield architecture mounted on anything smaller than a capital ship. Fleet intelligence reports suggest the power systems draw from dimensional micro-fractures, producing sustained output that should not be possible from a reactor this size.
