Enemy targeting systems report individual drones occupying multiple positions simultaneously, collapsing to a single location only at the moment of weapons impact. The Collective's published specifications list the drone count as "contextual." Fleet intelligence analysts have noted that the number of drones observed is always exactly sufficient for the tactical situation, never more, never fewer.
