Lore
Most ice harvesters ship fully committed — every slot filled, every watt allocated. The Absolute Zero ships with a harvester and a shield booster, then gets out of the way. The modular bus architecture underwent two years of peer review before the materials science division signed off, and what emerged was a platform that accommodates whatever the ice field demands: additional harvesters, crystallographic analyzers, cargo expansion. The shield layer compensates for the complete absence of weapons — a design choice that survived every review committee because the fitting budget it freed up justified itself. The Confederacy built a framework, not a finished product.
