Lore
Three weapon mounts on an exploration hull. The Polearm is the Fleet's wormhole probe — the first ship through, armed to handle whatever's waiting on the other side. Pirates, hostile territory, unknown systems with no refueling for dozens of jumps — the Polearm carries enough firepower to fight through all of it. Nearly every joule of fitting capacity goes to weapons and the anomaly detection array, leaving almost nothing for scientific instruments. Crimson Fleet command isn't interested in studying wormholes. They're interested in what's through them.
