Lore
When a Federation venture exits — acquisition, flotation, an unusually
profitable bankruptcy — the celebration is a contractual obligation,
and the Liquidity Event is where the contract is honored. Eight suites,
a ballroom rated for variable gravity, and a galley whose staff sign
non-disclosure agreements covering the speeches, the karaoke, and
whatever happened to the ice sculpture. Bookings include counsel as a
standard amenity. The Federation's one firm rule is that what happens
aboard stays aboard, a policy enforced less by discretion than by the
fact that everyone present has exactly as much to lose. The waivers
are, by common agreement, works of art.
