The Ember Sun K6V 0.0 (0.0, 0.0) A dim orange star the mining crews call The Ember — not much to look at, but it keeps the lights on. The war machine doesn't need a pretty sky. It needs ore.
Rustfield Planet arid 1.0 (1.0, 0.3) A barren world stripped of surface minerals generations ago. Deep-bore extraction shafts still operate beneath the crust, feeding the forges at Blood Forge.
Ore Depot Planet glacial 2.0 (2.0, -0.3) Military supply world. Raw ore is weighed, graded, and loaded onto convoys bound for Blood Forge. Nothing leaves without documentation — Crimson bookkeeping is as precise as their aim.
Iron Reach Mining Colony Station 2.5 (2.5, 0.3) A no-frills mining station bolted to the largest asteroid in the mineral fields. Ore convoys launch on a schedule measured in ticks, not hours. The mess hall serves protein paste and carbon dust in roughly equal proportions, and nobody complains — everyone here is working toward the same forge.
Iron Reach Mineral Fields Asteroid Belt mixed 4.1 (4.0, 1.0) Dense mineral fields that supply the Crimson Pact's industrial chain. Carbon and tungsten convoys run on strict schedules between here and the forges.
The Motherlode Asteroid Belt metallic 5.6 (5.5, -1.2) The deposit that gave Iron Reach its name. A massive ferrous asteroid cluster so dense with iron that early surveyors thought their instruments were malfunctioning. Generations of extraction have barely dented it.
Ruby's Vigil Relic 6.0 (5.5, 2.5) A fused autonomous sentinel embedded in the surface of a lone asteroid at the fringe of Iron Reach's mineral debris corridor. Station Log

You dock at Iron Reach Mining Colony. A no-frills mining station bolted to the largest asteroid in the mineral fields. Ore convoys launch on a schedule measured in ticks, not hours. The mess hall serves protein paste and carbon dust in roughly equal proportions, and nobody complains — everyone here is working toward the same forge. The station has the following facilities: - Power Grid: Distributed power generation with redundant feeds and surge protection. Not today. Redundant feeds have failed, leaving single-point power paths. Surge protection is offline — every spike risks cascade failure. - Habitat Core: Comprehensive environmental management supporting larger populations and diverse species. At least, when supplies hold out. Sensor arrays flash yellow warnings, some habitat zones show declining air quality, and filtration membranes need replacement. - Fuel Distribution Center: High-throughput fueling infrastructure with pipeline distribution and reserve tanks. Not anymore. Pipeline pressure fluctuates, reserve tanks are dangerously low, and the facility struggles to meet demand. - Restoration Works: Industrial repair facility with automated hull assessment and multi-bay operations. At least, when supplies hold out. Automated scanners are offline, technicians assess damage by eye, and wait times stretch across multiple cycles. - Commerce Hub: Full-service trading center with dedicated broker terminals and escrow services. Today, though, broker terminals cycle through error screens. Escrow settlement is backed up, and traders argue over stale quotes. ...and 13 more facilities.
