Lore

Solarian designed the Lemma to travel farther than anything else and come back with clean data. The pirate version goes just as far — the gun bolted to the nose required gutting the sensor suite to power it, but the fuel range is exactly what the Confederacy intended. The assignment changed. A Lemma pilot gathered data and returned. A Lemming pilot goes to the edge of a target's home system, confirms the cargo manifest, and transmits before anyone knows there's a scout. Then it runs. The targets who try to follow it find an empty system and a raider squad arriving from a different direction. The name belongs to them, not the pilot.
