Lore
The Solarian Confederacy spent decades insisting a gravitational interdiction field was theoretically impossible before building one and proving themselves wrong. Archon Mera spent considerably less time on the theoretical side. She wanted the field. She stripped the ship for what she couldn't source and rebuilt from what she could.
The Solarian logic matrix and solar collector arrays are gone — no one in Zaniah space fabricates the mathematics that calibrated the original's interdiction field. The processing cores are salvage. The rebuilt field is less precise, less stable, and draws enough power that the engineering crew has developed opinions about it. Ships inside it can still move. They cannot jump. On trading lanes, where every ship's emergency plan is the same jump sequence, this tends to be decisive.
The Mera Sanctum sits in a sensor shadow. Mera positioned it there deliberately — nothing approaches without her knowing. The No Exit is the second part of the strategy. By the time a target understands what ship they're looking at, the name has already become accurate.
