Casting Vote
A Solarian Quorum without solarian composite, navigation cores, or committee approval. The shield rating dropped significantly. The four weapon mounts did not. Pirates have a different authorization process.

Lore
The Quorum's hull was designed to be adapted. Solarian committee doctrine required consensus before any commitment, so the engineers built a warship that could be everything — four weapon mounts, eleven slots, distributed power runs connecting each bay to every other, modular architecture that could be reconfigured between engagements when the committee changed its mind. It is, structurally, a ship that was always waiting to become something else.
Pirates gave it the opportunity. The solarian composite that managed the shield field is gone. The navigation cores and circuit-board processing arrays that ran targeting predictions and sensor integration are gone. What remains is a hull whose every frame and mounting point reflects a Solarian conviction that flexibility is the highest tactical virtue. The salvage electronics plugged into those mounting points are uglier than what came out. The shield coverage runs softer without Solarian engineering behind it. The four weapon mounts are exactly where Solarian geometers decided they should be, covering overlapping fields of fire that a committee spent months approving.
Solarian doctrine requires a quorum before authorized use of force. The Casting Vote operates on a different model: the decision has already been made, the vote was unanimous, and it happened before you knew there was a meeting.
