Starfall attracts prospectors chasing uranium and lithium — materials the core empires need and can't easily source. The station runs a brisk trade in salvage, raw ore, and information about what's deeper in the frontier. No questions asked, no manifests required. The station has the following facilities: - Fusion Power Core: Standard fusion power plant providing energy to the station. Or it should be. The reactor hums at reduced output, and brownouts ripple through the station's power grid. - Life Support System: Atmospheric recycling and water purification for station inhabitants. But something's off — the air tastes stale and metallic, and condensation drips from overhead vents. - Fuel Depot: Fuel storage and dispensing facility for visiting ships. In theory. Fuel reserves are running low, dispensing pumps sputter, and rationing notices flash on the status board. - Repair Bay: Ship repair facility with basic hull patching equipment. When it's working. Repair kits are running low, and technicians jury-rig patches from whatever scrap they can find. - Market Terminal: Basic trading terminal for buying and selling goods. Not today.
