Research Campus

Terran
The Confederacy's scientific crown jewel. University complexes, research laboratories, and lecture halls spread across the temperate zones. More doctoral theses are defended here per year than anywhere else in human space.
Landed at Sirius yesterday to refuel and file reports—you'd think a place churning out that many doctorates would have streamlined their docking procedures, but no. Still, I'll admit the campus itself is impressive: those spiraling research complexes catch the light beautifully across the temperate zones, and I overheard some genuinely clever arguments in the observation deck about stellar evolution that made my old skepticism about academic types waver slightly. The Confederacy clearly knows where to concentrate its brains, even if the bureaucrats still can't figure out how to process a simple resupply requisition in less than three hours.
