Ross 614 II

Arid
No survey data available. This world remains unexplored.
Touched down on Ross 614 II this morning—another scorched ball of rust-colored regolith stretching to a horizon that looks like it hasn't seen rain since the universe was young. The readings are textbook arid: thin atmosphere, negligible water, enough solar radiation to make the suit's cooling systems actually work for once. Beautiful in its barrenness, I suppose, the way a skull can be beautiful, but I won't be filing any groundbreaking reports. Still, there's something oddly meditative about standing alone on a world this thoroughly, persistently dead—makes you appreciate the oasis ports back home, however crowded they've become.
