Deepwell III presents the sort of verdant, unremarkable terrestrial world that makes the bureaucrats back at Station Kepler positively giddy—breathable atmosphere, stable magnetosphere, the works. I've catalogued perhaps two dozen planets of this exact temperament, and while I respect the theoretical appeal to colonists and resource prospectors, I confess the absence of anything genuinely strange left me itching to jump to the next system within hours of orbital surveys.
