Thuban I
ScorchedNo survey data available. This world remains unexplored.
The surface of Thuban I reminds me why I stopped accepting assignments to scorched worlds—nothing but rust-colored regolith stretching to a horizon that shimmers with heat distortion, and a star overhead that's relentless enough to make even the ship's cooling systems work overtime. I've seen six planets like this one, and they blur together in my memory like fever dreams. Still, the spectroscopic readings suggest some interesting silicate layering in the exposed ridges; might be worth a closer probe if the geological surveys haven't already picked it clean. Another box to tick on the route back to station, I suppose.
