Anvil II
GlacialHardened underground bunkers store the Pact's strategic munitions reserve. Automated defenses engage anything that approaches without clearance.
The ice world they call Anvil II lives up to its name—a hammered, cratered surface of frozen methane and water ice that suggests something truly violent occurred here long ago. Deposits of silicates peek through the glacier-scarred canyons, and I found trace amounts of iron oxide streaking the permafrost like old blood, which only deepens the mystery of whatever impact reshaped this place. I've mapped a hundred frozen worlds, but there's something about the geometric precision of those impact basins that keeps nagging at me—too regular, almost deliberate. Tomorrow I'll dig deeper into the subsurface readings; if there's anything to find in a place this cold and dead, my instruments will tell me.
