Anvil I
ScorchedWeapons testing range. The surface is a cratered wasteland of impact sites, burned-out targets, and unexploded ordnance. Crimson R&D evaluates every new weapon design here before it enters production.
The surface of Anvil I lives up to its name—a hammered, cracked wasteland of obsidian and rust-colored stone that stretches endlessly beneath a bruised sky. I've crossed six hundred systems and still the sheer *hostility* of a scorched world arrests me: the bedrock here is so thoroughly baked that it's begun to vitrify, creating these knife-edged formations that would shred a landing pod to ribbons. No life, no water, nothing but the slow carbonization of a world that got too close to its star and never recovered. Worth documenting, though I suspect the geological surveys will be far more excited than the mining consortiums.
