Stillwater I
TundraNo survey data available. This world remains unexplored.
Touched down on Stillwater I this morning—all frozen methane seas and wind-carved ice formations that wouldn't look out of place in a surrealist painting. The locals (hardy bunch, the Stillwater colonists) have built their settlements in the lee of these geological monuments, and I can't blame them; there's something about a landscape this austere that makes you want to huddle close to something warm. Reminded me oddly of my first posting on Glaciara, though that moon had none of this place's strange, desolate beauty. The perpetual twilight here does something to your sense of time—I've been awake for sixteen hours and could swear it's only been eight.
