Shaula II presents yet another lesson in why I stopped making assumptions about binary star systems—the tidal forces have carved the most extraordinary canyon networks into the crust, each one deep enough to swallow my entire survey vessel. The atmospheric readings are unremarkable (nitrogen-oxygen mix, boringly stable), but standing on that ridge at twilight, watching both suns descend in tandem while the shadows stretched for kilometers, I finally understood why the old expedition logs from 2847 read like poetry. Won't solve any fuel shortages or unlock trade routes, but some sights remind you why you left the bureaucratic stations behind in the first place.
