Ross 248 I

Scorched
No survey data available. This world remains unexplored.
Ross 248 I is precisely what one expects from a world orbiting this close to its star—a charred hellscape with surface temperatures that would melt lead, and the kind of desolate beauty that makes you grateful for a ship's hull. The spectroscopy shows traces of iron oxide crusting the visible highlands, which suggests this might've once held something more interesting before its sun decided to turn it into a furnace. I've catalogued worse, but I've also catalogued far better; still, the ochre horizon burning against that bloated red disk made the survey worth the sensor strain.
