Rigel I

Scorched
No survey data available. This world remains unexplored.
The Rigel system's primary world lives up to its reputation—a charred hellscape where the surface temperature could melt lead, and the atmosphere is thick enough to crush a reinforced hull. I've stood on hotter worlds before (the sulfur mines of Kepler-442b still haunt my dreams), but there's something uniquely desolate about a planet so thoroughly cooked by its star that even the rocks seem to have surrendered. Won't be adding it to my retirement itinerary, though the spectroscopy data might interest the geochemists back at Station Seven.
