Rasalgethi II sprawls beneath us in shades of rust and desiccated ochre, a world so thoroughly wrung of moisture that even the wind seems tired of blowing. I've catalogued seventeen distinct mineral formations across the southern highlands, though I confess the monotony of yet another lifeless desert does little to stir the blood after six months in the void. Still, there's something oddly meditative about a planet that asks nothing of you—no exotic hunting, no cautionary tales, just honest stone and silence.
