Okab II presents itself as yet another terrestrial world caught in the tedious middle ground—not hostile enough to be interesting, not hospitable enough to warrant settlement. The atmospheric composition reads as standard nitrogen-oxygen with trace methane, and the surface surveys suggest iron oxide plains broken by the occasional silicate ridge, the sort of vista that would bore the cartography committee to tears. Still, there's something oddly restful about worlds like this; after three weeks navigating the political minefields of Centralis Station, I found myself lingering in low orbit longer than the mission parameters allowed, simply watching the sunset paint those rust-colored highlands in shades of amber.
