Okab I presents itself as yet another terrestrial sphere orbiting a yellow dwarf—pleasant enough, I suppose, if you find virtue in predictability. The atmosphere reads stable, the gravity manageable, and I've already filled three survey logs with "suitable for settlement" remarks that will vanish into some colonial development committee's inbox, never to be acted upon. Still, there's something oddly meditative about worlds like this: proof that the universe doesn't need to scream to warrant our attention, even if my report will.
