# Miaplacidus II The second planet hangs in its system like a pearl in still water—a genuinely tranquil world of ammonia ice plains and crystalline methane deposits that catch the light in ways that make you forget, briefly, why you ever wanted to leave. I've circled back through Miaplacidus three times now, and each time I swear I'll touch down properly instead of just collecting spectral readings from orbit, and each time the bureaucracy of the nearest station pulls me elsewhere. Next rotation through this sector, I'm doing it—some places deserve more than a wry note and a course correction.
