Stumbled upon LHS 1140 II during a routine survey of the outer habitable zone—though "habitable" here means theoretically, not practically. The planet's thick atmosphere and perpetual cloud cover make direct observation nearly impossible, but the spectroscopic data hints at a world locked in its own climatic extremes, forever turning the same face to its star like a cosmic prisoner. Part of me wonders what's churning beneath those clouds; another part is content to log it and move on to systems where the universe bothers to make itself visible.
