The glacial plains of Theta Proxima II stretch endlessly beneath a bruised violet sky—beautiful in that austere way only ice worlds manage, though I confess the reading stations here blend into one another after the third or fourth frozen hellscape. The subsurface thermal vents hint at something more dynamic lurking beneath all that permafrost, and I've marked the coordinates for a deeper probe next cycle; one never knows what extremophiles might be thriving in the dark down there, and it would be the first interesting thing to come out of Lacaille 9352.
