The landing at Haven Prime was mercifully uneventful—no exotic storms, no hostile fauna, just a well-ordered colonial settlement doing what a thousand other super-terrans do: existing competently in the habitable zone. I'll admit the crystalline formations near the equator caught my eye for a moment, but after six centuries of surveying, I've learned not to mistake geological prettiness for actual discovery. Still, the locals seem content enough, which I suppose is its own kind of victory against the void's indifference.
