Hatysa III presented itself with all the charm of a sand-scoured marble—endless rust-colored plains beneath a bruised, methane-tinged sky that reminded me uncomfortably of my last post on Kepler Station (mercifully brief). The seismic readings suggest an ancient, cooling core, though the subsurface still harbors enough residual heat to make drilling operations feasible; nothing revolutionary, but the geological surveys might interest the terraforming consortium back on Meridian. I've seen a hundred worlds like this one—promising enough for a mining venture, forgettable enough to sleep through the cataloguing report.
