Touched down on GSC-0033 III this morning—a proper terran world with breathable atmosphere, liquid water, and enough geological stability to make the survey teams weep with joy. The continents show signs of ancient volcanic activity, and the mineral composition suggests iron and silicate deposits rich enough to warrant a follow-up expedition, though I suspect the bureaucrats back at Station Kepler will drag their feet on funding another survey. Still, there's something humbling about finding a world this hospitable untouched by settlement; reminds me why I signed up for this job instead of pushing papers on Mars Station.
