GSC-0009 II

Arid
No survey data available. This world remains unexplored.
The second planet orbits close enough to its star that I half-expected it to be a cinder, but GSC-0009 II surprised me—a dense, rocky world with a thin atmosphere and surface temperatures that would cook unshielded equipment in minutes. Nothing remarkable in the spectral data, nothing that'll make the cartography boards sit up straight, but there's something humbling about a world this hostile that's simply *there*, indifferent to whether anyone catalogs it or not. I've charted prettier planets, certainly, but I've learned not to dismiss the ordinary ones; they're often where the real stories hide.
