Touched down on Grumium II this afternoon—another scorched hellscape in a system that's been picked over by prospectors for the better part of a decade. The geology is predictable: rust-colored dust, ancient impact craters, and absolutely nothing that hasn't been catalogued by some corporate surveyor with less poetry in their soul than a trade station manifest. I gave the crew an hour to stretch their legs while I watched the twin sunset from the ridge, and I'll admit the light through the haze was almost worth the journey, though don't tell the logistics team I said that.
