The surface of Dheneb I is a masterclass in thermal extremism—a world so thoroughly roasted that even my instruments groaned in protest during the flyover. I've catalogued scorched planets before, but there's something almost artistic about this one: the crust has fractured into geometric patterns that catch the light like some mad geologist's fever dream. No settlements, no resources worth the fuel cost, and certainly no reason to return—yet I found myself lingering in orbit longer than necessary, simply watching the heat shimmer distort the stars beyond.
