Deep Range Outpost

Outerrim
Public Defense 80 Drones Struggling

Multiple systems running on emergency reserves. Lights flicker in the corridors.

The Outer Rim's real secondary capital. Where expeditions are funded, outfitted, and launched into the unknown. The Outpost looks like Frontier's younger sibling — same jury-rigged aesthetic, same indifference to building codes, but the docking bay is bigger and the charts on the wall are more current. If Frontier is where Rimmers live, Deep Range is where they work.

Station Log

You dock at Deep Range Outpost. The station has the following facilities: - Power Grid: Distributed power generation with redundant feeds and surge protection. Redundant feeds maintain voltage across every section. Surge protectors stand ready, and output exceeds demand. - Habitat Core: Comprehensive environmental management supporting larger populations and diverse species. At least, when supplies hold out. Sensor arrays flash yellow warnings, some habitat zones show declining air quality, and filtration membranes need replacement. - Fuel Distribution Center: High-throughput fueling infrastructure with pipeline distribution and reserve tanks. Not anymore. Pipeline pressure fluctuates, reserve tanks are dangerously low, and the facility struggles to meet demand. - Restoration Works: Industrial repair facility with automated hull assessment and multi-bay operations. At least, when supplies hold out. Automated scanners are offline, technicians assess damage by eye, and wait times stretch across multiple cycles. - Commerce Hub: Full-service trading center with dedicated broker terminals and escrow services. Today, though, broker terminals cycle through error screens. Escrow settlement is backed up, and traders argue over stale quotes. ...and 19 more facilities.
