The surface of Crosshaven I is a blackened hellscape of fused regolith and fractured bedrock—a world so thoroughly roasted that even the shadows seem to radiate heat. I've catalogued three previous scorched worlds in my career, but something about the uniform charring here suggests a relatively recent catastrophe, perhaps within the last few million years. The atmospheric readings are thin nitrogen and trace carbon dioxide, which means whatever cataclysm sterilized this place left behind only the barest whisper of what once was. Still, there's a grim beauty to it—a reminder that even planets are mortal.
