Celaeno II lives up to its reputation as a monument to stellar indifference—a rust-colored wasteland of silicate plains and wind-carved ridges that makes even my weathered eyes glaze over. I've crossed six hundred systems, and somehow the truly barren ones all blur together: hostile, hostile, and more hostile, with precious little to show for the risk. Still, the local mineralogists assure me the subsurface deposits of iron oxide will fetch a respectable price back at Kepler Station, so I suppose even boredom has its silver lining.
