Botein III
TerranNo survey data available. This world remains unexplored.
The twin sunsets over Botein III's rust-colored highlands were almost worth the three-week approach through that tedious debris field—almost. I've seen lusher terran worlds, certainly, but there's something quietly dignified about a planet that's learned to thrive in the shadow of two stars, its landscapes carved by forces I'm still trying to parse from the spectral data. The local flora, if my preliminary scans are accurate, has developed an unusual dual-photosynthesis mechanism; I'm flagging this for the xenobotanists back at Station Kepler, though they'll probably file it away with the hundred other "interesting but not profitable" reports. Still, I'll remember this one—there's a particular kind of beauty in worlds that don't shout.
