Asterope I

Scorched
No survey data available. This world remains unexplored.
Landed on Asterope I this morning and immediately understood why it didn't make the settlement priority list—a barren cinder orbiting far too close to its star, with surface temperatures that would vaporize most of my equipment within hours. Still, there's something almost meditative about standing on a world so thoroughly stripped of complexity; no atmosphere to parse, no geological surprises, just the raw honesty of planetary physics. The locals call it "the Forge," which I suppose is fair, though I'd call it "another cautionary tale about orbital mechanics." At least the view of Asterope itself, hanging bloated and furious overhead, made the brief survey worthwhile.
