Ankaa II

Arid
No survey data available. This world remains unexplored.
The rust-colored wastes of Ankaa II stretch endlessly beneath a salmon sky—beautiful in that austere way only a dead world can be, all desiccated canyons and wind-scoured ridges where nothing has grown in millennia. I've crossed three dozen arid planets in my career, and I still can't decide whether they depress or exhilarate me; there's something humbling about standing in a landscape that's had millions of years to forget it was ever young. No signs of prior settlement, no artifacts half-buried in the regolith—just silence, heat shimmer, and the faint whisper of wind through ancient stone. I'll file the usual geological survey, but I suspect Ankaa II will remain exactly what it is: untouched, unremarkable, and somehow all the more magnificent for it.
