The atmospheric composition here is almost aggressively inert—nitrogen and argon in such abundance that one wonders what celestial accountant filed the paperwork for this place. Alnair II sits there like a patient in waiting, geologically stable and utterly devoid of the volatile drama I've come to expect from habitable worlds. Still, there's something almost restful about surveying a system where nothing's actively trying to kill me or collapse into itself, though I suspect the novelty will wear off by the time I finish the spectroscopic analysis.
