Acrux III reminds me why I signed up for this work in the first place—a proper terran world with oxygen-rich atmosphere, liquid water cycles, and what appears to be a thriving biosphere spread across three continents. The geological surveys suggest significant deposits of iron and silicate formations, the sort of bedrock that could support either a thriving colony or, more likely, another bureaucratic settlement squabbling over mining rights within five years. Still, there's something genuinely moving about watching a world that hasn't yet been picked clean, where the atmosphere smells like rain and possibility rather than recycled station air.
