Lore
The Threshold is not manufactured. It is cultivated in Nexus Prime's orbital
growth bays over a period the Collective insists on calling "gestation." The
hull is a crystalline-organic composite that repairs microscopic fractures
autonomously. The shield generators draw power from sources the engineering
manual describes only as "adjacent." New pilots report that the ship
anticipates course corrections before they're input — the Collective
considers this a feature, not a concern. The cabin temperature is always
slightly wrong, regardless of thermostat settings. No Voidborn engineer
has ever acknowledged this as a defect.
