Frontier Weld Shop Unique Always On

A zero-G repair cage bolted to the outside of Destroyer One, staffed by welders who learned their trade patching battle damage mid-combat.

The cage is open to vacuum on three sides, held to the hull by mag-clamps that are older than most of the crew. The welders work in suits, which they say gives them better visibility than any enclosed drydock. This is true. It also means repairs stop during micrometeorite warnings, which happen more often than the station council admits.
