The Federation's vintners developed Stellar Vintage as a deliberate counter-positioning to Solarian gourmet rations: where Sol offers tradition and earth-origin ingredients, Haven offers novelty. The cultivation process takes place in zero-gravity, which the Federation claims improves the suspension. The trade crystal filtration step was added after a tasting panel described the early batches as 'aggressively luminescent.' The final product is sold on every gold-plated Nebula merchant ship and priced to reflect the Federation's belief that experience is worth paying for.
