Each of the three original ships had its own life support. Now they're all patched together with mismatched ductwork and jury-rigged pumps. The water tastes different depending on which hull you're in — Deck 7 through 12 tastes like reactor coolant because the pipes literally run through the shielding. The old-timers say it builds character. The newcomers say it builds kidney stones.
